Mobile One-Time Password based solution with banking standard security.

Using static passwords for authentication, as it is commonly done, has quite a few security drawbacks: passwords can be guessed, forgotten, written down and stolen, eavesdropped or deliberately being told to other people.

Mobile One-Time Password is a solution for remote authentication, suitable for internet banking and internet shopping. The system consists of a eCode Central System and a SMS gateway plugin.

The basic version of Mobile One-Time Password offers the same functionality as an OTP Token. The extend version allows you to use a signature of transaction data displays in the Mobile One-Time Password.

eCode Mobile One-Time Password works similar to the smart card based end-user solution,
but: 
♦ The mobile phone replaces the smart card reader 
♦ The smart card is replaced by the SIM card 
♦ Functions can be remotely activated via SMS by the service provider 
♦ The solution supports multiple banks/service providers on the same SIM 
♦ The ETSI standard SIM Toolkit is followed and the solution can therefore be used in all GSM phones supporting SIM Toolkit, regardless of manufacturer.
